INTEGRATIVE NUTRITION TOOLS & CONCEPTS

Most integrative nutrition concepts work to help you put things into perspective. When you employ these tools, you can see how your actions align with your goals and you can make the changes that are the most important to you, slowly and sustainably. These tools are truly life-changing!

  • Primary Food:  Everything that fuels you that is not food. Ensuring your primary food is in balance is critical to your success.

  • Bioindividuality: All bodies are different and have different needs

  • Crowding out: Bringing so much good stuff in, there's less room for the bad

  • Deconstructing cravings: Figuring out what your body really wants

  • Food journaling: Linking daily actions and habits to how you feel

  • The Integrative Nutrition Plate: Plate view of food groups and serving sizes

PERSPECTIVE & PERSEVERANCE

For most of us, change is hard. We have great intentions of incorporating new habits-- maybe starting a keto diet or joining the nearby crossfit gym-- but then, life happens. Complications arise and your plan gets derailed. You lose your sitter, you have to work late... Soon enough, you feel like you've lost all your mojo and you default to settling back into your usual routine. You feel guilty and defeated and beat yourself up about not sticking with the program, and the cascade of negativity begins.

Sometimes you just need to zoom out and take the  30,000 foot view of your life. Narrow down from all the many areas where you want to make changes to just a few. Set goals that align your actions with who you really want to be as a person.
